James qualified with a B.Comm, H.Dip.Acc, CA (SA) in 1994 after completing articles with Ernst & Young in Johannesburg. Thereafter, he worked for Rand Coal as a financial accountant and on corporate finance deals.
He established a wealth management, international structures and taxation practice in Johannesburg between 1996 and 2004, with extensive involvement in UK residential and commercial property deal structuring and investments.
After working independently between 2004 and 2007, he joined Athanor Investments, which specializes in UK Commercial Property investments. He continues to be involved in Athanor as a Director.
Through the establishment of Orchard Properties, James is able to assist investors with developing property investment portfolios in both the commercial and residential areas.
